Yes, artists based in Spain can join, and Spain sits in the middle of the community: the same language as the Latin American scene, the same working hours as the European listeners. You apply with two or three links, a curator answers within seven days, and earnings are calculated in US dollars from the minutes your tracks are actually played.

The scene in Spain
Barcelona has been a hub for electronic and experimental music for a generation, with a large producer community, small labels and studios in Poblenou and Gràcia, and a steady flow of ambient and modular releases. Madrid adds a broad instrumental scene, from neoclassical piano to post-rock, and Valencia and Bilbao keep smaller circles going.
Artists in Spain usually release on Bandcamp and streaming at the same time and use SoundCloud for sketches and long-form pieces. Send the long-form ones. A public link to a calm, unbroken piece is the strongest application, whatever it was recorded on.

SGAE registration is optional
You can apply without an ISRC or an SGAE registration. If you have them, add them to your artist profile after approval; they make licensing to brands simpler.
Your listeners keep your hours

Can I join Music For Work from Spain?
Yes. You need to be 18 or over and to hold the rights to the music you send. No label, manager or distributor is required.
How am I paid from Spain?
In US dollars, calculated from real listening minutes. The payout method and schedule are set out in the written artist agreement you sign after approval.
Do I need to be a member of SGAE?
No. Membership is your choice and does not affect the application. It concerns the royalties SGAE collects on your behalf elsewhere.
Can I write my application in Spanish?
The form is in English, but the free-text fields, your goals and your bio, can be in Spanish. Curators read both.
