Music for

Music for working from homethat gives the day a shape.

Play a long instrumental session at the start of each working stretch and let it define the stretch. The problem with working from home is rarely noise; it is that the day has no edges, and a kettle or a delivery can become a break. Calm Study runs three hours with a soft noise bed under it, which covers the flat and tells you, and anyone in it, that you are working.

Why it works for working from home

Edges for a day without them

Starting a session marks the start of work more clearly than opening a laptop that was already open.

Covers a home, not an office

A noise bed built from rain and room tone hides the domestic sounds that are hard to ignore precisely because you know what they are.

Low volume, long hours

Mixed flat and light in the bass so it can stay on through a whole morning without fatigue.

How to use it

  • Match sessions to the day: Calm Study for the morning admin and reading, Deep Focus for the block after coffee, Late Shift if the day runs past dark.
  • Play it on a speaker if you live alone and on headphones if you do not. The music is the same; what changes is who else hears the boundary.
  • Stop the session at lunch and start it again after. A break with the music still running is not a break.

Common questions

Should I wear headphones at home?

Only if you share the space. On your own, a small speaker at low volume is more comfortable for a whole day, and the sessions are mixed to work that way.

What if I am on calls half the day?

Start a session between calls rather than across them. Sixty-minute Creative Flow fits the gaps between meetings; Calm Study fits a clear afternoon.

Is it the same as an office playlist?

No. Office playlists are chosen for a crowd and change every few minutes. A session is chosen for one kind of hour and changes as little as possible.

Make music for working from home?

Every session is built from tracks by emerging artists, paid for the minutes people listen. If your music sits still for an hour, send it.
