Apply with two or three links, a curator answers within seven days, and if your music fits it goes into sessions played by people working in the United States and Europe. Earnings are calculated in US dollars from the minutes your tracks are actually played, and the free-text parts of the application can be written in Portuguese; curators read it.

The scene in Brazil
São Paulo has one of the largest electronic and experimental scenes in the Southern Hemisphere, with labels, collectives and studios for every texture from modular to instrumental jazz. Rio adds a deep tradition of instrumental music (choro, bossa, solo guitar) that turns into slow, wordless pieces in the hands of a new generation, and Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre carry steady scenes of their own.
Brazilian artists release on YouTube and SoundCloud early and reach streaming fast through local distributors. For an application, the long, even pieces matter more than the singles; a Bandcamp or private link to a twelve-minute track is the better first impression.

Can I join Music For Work from Brazil?
Yes. You need to be 18 or over and to hold the rights to the music you send. The site is in English; your goals and your bio can be in Portuguese.

Do I need to be affiliated with UBC or Abramus?
No. Affiliation is your choice and does not affect the application. It concerns the royalties collected through ECAD on your behalf elsewhere.
Does instrumental bossa or choro fit the sessions?
It can, played slow and mixed flat. Creative Flow takes warmer, more mobile pieces; Calm Study wants them slower still. Tempo and dynamics decide, not the tradition.
