The scene in Uruguay
Montevideo's scene is small and dense: a few venues, a few labels, and a circle of producers and instrumentalists who know each other and share studios. Ambient, downtempo and slow guitar music get made in apartments near the Rambla, sometimes with candombe rhythms slowed until they become texture rather than beat.
Releases go to Bandcamp and SoundCloud first, with streaming later; many artists also play in Buenos Aires, an hour across the river. An application needs only public links, so the piece you would put on Bandcamp is the one to send.
